Debbie M. Harrison

Deborah Marriott Harrison was born and raised in Washington, DC. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.A. in History and a minor in French. She has become a mental health advocate because her oldest children, identical twin sons, suffer from Bipolar Disorder. She has actively served on several boards including the NIMH Advisory Council, the board of Directors for DRADA, and the Medical Illness Counseling Center. Debbie believes education is the best way to reduce the stigma of mental illness, and get appropriate and effective treatments. She and her husband, Ronald Harrison, have lived in Maryland, Hong Kong and Belgium. They have five children and currently reside in Potomac, MD.
