Lisa Hunter Romanelli, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology in Psychiatry,

Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons

Lisa Hunter Romanelli, Ph.D. is the Director of the Parent Empowerment Programs at the REACH Institute, and directs training programs related to REACH's Parent Empowerment Program for parents involved in the child welfare system, including birth- and foster-parents. 

Dr. Romanelli graduated cum laude from Harvard University in 1993 with a major in psychology.  She then attended Rutgers University to pursue a doctoral degree in clinical psychology.  At Rutgers, Dr. Romanelli had extensive experience implementing school-based social-emotional learning (SEL) programs. She graduated from Rutgers in 1998 and in 1999, completed post-doctoral clinical child psychology training at the Yale Child Study Center.    

In addition to her work at REACH, Dr. Romanelli is an assistant professor at Columbia University, and is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice specializing in cognitive-behavioral treatment for children and adolescents.
